Stress

30 Oct

Stress- traffic, having a lot of project, or maybe problems.

Do you still remember the first day of college, wherein  all our professors instructed us on what students should do or maintain as soon as they reached college, and to be honest, it was somehow stressful. It was because it is a part of being college but the sense that it is hard for us to adjust from being a high school student to being a college student example: you have a lot of time to play and to go out with out having the consequence on having a low grade and projects are given by teachers on a different date.not like at college where you have no time to play or go out and when it comes to being serious on projects.  different subjects with different projects but to be submitted on a same date, really a big change isn’t it?

Same as the adjustment that we need from being a college to the time where we are working seriously, I remember the example that was given to us that;  different companies gives each employee days or free days where they can relax, unwind and put all the stress aside that they got from stress at the work field. That wwas true and has a lot of advantages for them. And Of course  for us college students there is also stress but not like the tress that we will have at the work field, and that is why  we also have the “Sem break”

“burn out”

–  a stage that means once you are in it, you must have a lot of stress in your mind.

We can truly say that we can somehow be on the “close to burnout” a stage before the burnout. Its simply means we have a lot of stress that we need to loose.  We can go to the beach or spend time watching movies at home. I am sure that after the vacation, you’ll have less stress and we should remember that we cannot prevent stress especially now because we are working and some of us are still adjusting .that shows that stress cannot be prevented by us  but at least we need to handle them, release them out to prevent ”burnout”.

That is a lesson wherein we are finding ways to release stress or manage it somehow. but for me once a have it, all i do is call my fiends and ask them if we can all go out, maybe  to watch movies or drink or play basketball and i can say that it is really effective. try it!

A healthy relationship

Most of us have or had relationships, relationships have ups and down sometime you will fight or argue or sometimes you break up.

I think important factors that make a healthy relationship are communication, time, forgiveness and care. I think these are important ones because they keep the relationship last and healthy.

Communication is important because when we communicate we understand each other more, and you will get to know more about each other, communication comes in many forms from mail to email, now communication is very accessible with so much technology, it is made easy. Starting a conversation isn’t that hard start with a hi or hello or be random then from there you guys will communicate.

Time, spending quality time with each other makes the relationship strong and healthy, in other way go bonding, go do activities like go watch a movie, and learn something new or visit places like go travel or tour around. I think that the best way to bond is to learn something new because there is an intimacy and you will be able to help each other and work as a team. I great example would be like planting a tree.

Care when you care for your partner your partner will care for you it’s the golden rule and when you care for each you will love each other more.

We are humans we all make mistakes no one is perfect and it is impossible that you never had a problem. When we make a mistake we must not be afraid to face it and say sorry, don’t make excuses, excuses makes things worse or sometimes it does not help. When a problem comes up we must find a way to solve it. I personally believe that all problems have a solution and the solution is just lying there.

Stressed or Relaxed or Both?

27 Oct

Friends—the reason why almost all of us still has a reason to keep going on. Can you imagine living your life without your best friend? Do you think you’ll have the same attitude, memories, and life if you’ve never met your best friend? I don’t.

Image

I have lived my whole teenage life with parents who belonged to a whole different generation than I belong to. It was really hard for me to make friends or go to parties, get-togethers, night-outs, and whatnots because my parents won’t allow me to go out. I guess they just don’t realize the importance of those night-outs and “group-studies”. Thankfully though, now that I have the freedom that I truly deserve, I can already do whatever I want because the (KJ- Kill Joy) parents are far from me while I’m studying in Manila.

Image

It’s not that I’m becoming wild or whatever just because I’m far from my family, it’s just that now, I can finally go out with my friends and go home late! Trust me when I tell you I’ve never passed out in Manila because I was drunk and I definitely have no intentions to experience such an embarrassing moment. I guess I just really know my limits. I guess it’s also because I have this fear of getting drunk because I have a brother who drinks so much and gets into trouble most of the time. Luckt for me, I loathe getting into trouble. I just really want to have fun, and going out with my friends is my stress-reliever—no need for alcohol or whatnot, just plain hanging out with friends.

Image

I’m pretty sure a lot will agree with me that once you’re in college, you’ll definitely experience stress whether you like it or not. If you haven’t experienced stress, well then, one thing’s for sure, you aren’t exerting effort in your studies. Or, you aren’t in college at all! Stress is everywhere in college! I like to make it as a measure for me to know whether I’m doing something or not, because I know that I only get stressed whenever I’m focused on my studies and whenever I’m putting all my time and effort for school. So whenever I feel so relaxed, I know what that means! I really wouldn’t want to be relaxed because I’m pretty sure, my parents won’t feel very relaxed once they see my grades if I just chill and be a bum at school.

Image

I feel very lucky to have amazing friends who makes me a much better person and a much better Tagalog speaker. J I remember them laughing at me whenever I say words with Bisaya accent which I don’t notice until they…laugh at me. Title to TITOL—just one of the very many words that has made me blush here in Manila. Even though they laugh at me whenever I commit accent mistakes, I know deep inside they love me. That’s why I love my friends! They’re the reason why I don’t have food whenever we eat out, empty phone batteries, full camera memory cards, a lot of photos on my phone and laptop, and most of all, why I feel very relaxed even when I’m very stressed. Why settle for one, when you can have the best of both worlds? 🙂 Stressed while being relaxed. Now who wouldn’t want to have that?

(Stress) but it is sem break now!

Burn out

We had a lesson in which we talked about why companies have their vacations, maybe it is the same with why we students have our sem-break every after a semester. College is really different from highschool, different subjects with different projects but to be submitted on a same date. It is hard for us and it is a good thing that we have a sem-break where we can unwind and relax. A vacation where we can put aside our work and just sit around or have fun. It is also good because once we have so much stress,we can be at the state of burnout wherein too much stress is with in us.Image

Prejudism against us? good or bad by: Dave Pajela

I have a friend in Saudi Arabia and his father is a bank manager for the past 2 years, his father worked at the Sabb or the Saudi british bank. one day he came to class sad and i asked him why? he replied ” my dad’s been fired because of the “Saudization”; a law wherein companies that are based in the country should not have a manager or a high positions with different nationalities. for me, it shows that they dont trust us and they are trying to tell us that we cannot manage high positions and during that moment i want to prove them wrong, but how? i am just studying and i have no work, one day he informed me that his father was back in his job and i asked him ” akala ko ba wala na trabaho dad mo?” he said it was a conflict, some people are just jealous because all of the banks here in this country is managed by filipinos. that shows that filipino are truly the best in terms of managing and hospitality. Image

Free or Not?

Transition from locked up to freedom

I know a lot of  people who’s from the middle east here at Enderun and all I can say is we know how hard it is living in a country that is not liberal enough or shall I say a “closed country” like Saudi Arabia. It is a lot different here in the Philippines where you can spend more time with your family and friends with out worrying. At Saudi Arabia, we cannot go outside wearing shorts and sleeveless shirts, boys cannot go with girls outside because of the “mutawas”. Girls should wear the appropriate dress like the “Abaya”. Drinking alcoholic beverages is also strictly prohibited. That is how hard it is living in Saudi Arabia, a lot different here in the Philippines in which you can spend time with your friends going to malls, drinking and more.

here is a sample of abayaImage

but despite the fact that it is really strict in  Saudi Arabia, that makes the people disciplined and they say that the reason of them being strict is because of the “mecca”, in my opinion, they are right, they should maintain the laws and policies and in that way they can preserve their culture. thank you for reading my blog
